Flamengo returns to the field for the Conmebol Libertadores this Wednesday (25), to face Independiente Santa Fé, in a match valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the competition. The teams will face each other at El Campín, in Colombia, and the Mais Querido's record in the country is favorable.
Throughout its history, Flamengo has played 13 matches on Colombian soil. In these encounters, there were eight wins, two draws, and two losses.
Adding up all the times Flamengo has played in Colombia, they also hold the record for the best attack in matches against opponents from that country. The "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) has scored 18 goals and conceded 12.
Counting only the matches in the Conmebol Libertadores, the numbers continue to favor Flamengo. In this competition, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) played six games, winning three, losing two, and drawing one.
The last match in Colombia took place last year, in the semi-final of the Copa Sudamericana. Flamengo faced Junior Barranquilla at the Metropolitano stadium and won 2-0, with two goals from Felipe Vizeu. Relive the moment through the FLATV video.
