Training match
I liked the way the team played today's friendly. We won, there were a lot of good things, and some tests for the Botafogo match. I hope we can continue in the Campeonato Carioca.
Ederson
He's a role model. His daily routine has been very good, he's been training well. He's been executing perfectly what Zé asks. He'll be ready to help when called upon, as he always does. He's a very explosive player, always coming out on top individually. We've been following his daily routine, not just today. He's trying to find his feet, just like when he was injured. I've been following his routine and I'm very happy with his commitment. He'll help us a lot, as he has so far. I don't think he'll feel the physical pain as much because he's always taken good care of himself.
Duo with Donatti
Not only is the defense very well-served, but the other positions are as well. Donatti and I are currently playing together. It's the coach's choice, but whoever plays will give their best for Flamengo. We'll always strive to do this regardless of Réver, Vaz, Juan, or Léo Duarte.
Rafael Vaz
I'm a good friend of Rafa's and have been talking to him a lot about the situation. I try to help in any way I can. Rafa is a very good kid. We've seen several examples in our daily lives. Players have turned things around. I believe he can do it. As for his football, I don't even need to comment. He's incredibly talented, and I believe he has everything it takes to turn things around.
Advantage of a draw in the semifinal
Personally, I don't like it much. I prefer to have to chase the result. A classic is very balanced. If the game is going badly, the advantage will be crucial after 40 minutes of the second half. We have to always strive for victory. A team that chases a draw ends up hurting itself.
Preparation
Our training is very mirrored. The pieces end up changing, but the style of play, except when we're losing, doesn't change. Zé is very intelligent. He's shown that throughout the matches. We know we're well represented as a coach. We've shown he can count on us, regardless of how we play.
