After the 2-1 defeat against Independiente, on Wednesday night (6), in the first game of the Conmebol South American final, defender Réver spoke in the mixed zone of the Libertadores de América stadium and analyzed the match, in addition to projecting the return match at Maracanã.

"What surprised me was how they waited for our team. They're a very aggressive team, and we were surprised by having more possession early on. We missed a small detail in this game. We were better early on, so much so that we scored a goal. We ended up failing to be as aggressive with the ball, as they were scared of the goal. We should have taken more advantage. Now we're trying to get as much rest as possible and go for that win on Wednesday to leave the title in Rio," explained Réver.

The defender, who scored Flamengo's first-half goal, took advantage of a Trauco corner and headed it into the back of the net. "Our aerial play is very strong. We've been taking advantage of that and need to work on it even more. Independiente is a small team, and in today's football, many matches are won with these set pieces," he said.

"I expect even greater pressure at Maracanã. When the stadium is packed, it's much more difficult. I've already faced a full Maracanã against us, and it's difficult to play there. I hope the fans can encourage us and make all the difference, as they always have at home," the captain added.

Flamengo's next game will be on Wednesday (6), at 21:45 pm, against Independiente in the second leg of the Conmebol South American, at Maracanã.
