"I am and always will be very grateful to Flamengo for everything they have given me and for my career. Lifting a trophy with this shirt is the dream of most players, and today I had that opportunity. I hope it's the first of many titles. Flamengo is the current Carioca champion and is rightfully in the top spot. I thank the coaching staff and directors for everything they did so that I could wear this shirt," he commented.
The captain also took the opportunity to state that Zé Ricardo deserves to lift the trophy, in addition to praising the coach's work.
"Zé is a very calm, hardworking guy and deserves the moment he's experiencing. We know that you need to have above-average ability to be a coach in Brazil today. Flamengo is very fortunate to have this patience with him, and it's paying off. It's Zé Ricardo's first title as a professional, and he's very happy. I'm sure it's just the beginning of his career," said Réver.
Already thinking about the next challenges, Flamengo will face Atlético-GO on Wednesday (10), at 7:30 pm, at Maracanã. "We already have a difficult game in the round of 16 on Wednesday. I am sure that we will give our best in the Copa do Brasil in search of this result," said the defender.
