Réver expects a truncated classic and asks for calm when defining the plays

Before the game that will be held in Brasília, defender Réver gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and predicted a tough match at Mané Garrincha.
"I believe it will be a tough, but hopefully clean, classic match without violence. We preach peace in football, and it's not in our nature to bring violence to the stadium. It will be very physical on both sides; it can't be any other way. We have to do something different to win the matches. We will always respect Vasco, but we have to do something different to come away with the victory."
Regarding the match against Vasco, the Flamengo captain assessed it as a turning point and guaranteed that the team remains firmly in the fight for the Brazilian Championship title.
"There are no favorites in a derby. It's 50/50, regardless of the situation. A derby is a watershed moment. Many people say that Flamengo doesn't fight for titles, and people are confused about that. We have to improve, evolve, and we will seek victory to achieve our goal."
At the end of the conversation with journalists, the number 15 player spoke about the team's offensive sector and asked for calmness when finishing plays.
"First, we need to be a little more composed. Mainly to put our teammates in a better position to finish. We've been creating chances, but not something clear enough for the attackers to shoot. They have to fight with the defender, which makes it harder to score."
