After a 3-3 draw in normal time, Flamengo and Fluminense decided the title of the Taça Guanabara, in the final this Sunday (5), on penalties, but the opponent managed to win 4-2 at Engenhão. After the match, captain Réver commented on the result.
"We have to go out there with our heads held high. We ended up falling behind and managed to turn it around, but then we had to chase it down again. The team was feisty, but they were more efficient and deserved it. We always go out there to win, but sometimes it doesn't happen. We have to congratulate Fluminense and turn the key to the Libertadores," said the captain.
Flamengo returns to the field on Wednesday (8), when it debuts in the CONMEBOL Libertadores Bridgestone against San Lorenzo (ARG), at 21:45 pm, at Maracanã.
