The victory against Madureira on Sunday afternoon (19), at Raulino de Oliveira, gave Flamengo the advantage of a draw in the semifinal of the Guanabara Cup. The benefit, however, does not take away the red-black focus on victories, as Réver assured after the duel.
"We qualified early, and our goal was to finish first and reach the semifinals with the advantage of a draw. Of course, we won't play just for this result; we have the strength to play well and qualify," said the captain.
In the next phase, Flamengo will have an important classic ahead, as they face Vasco in the semi-final on Sunday (26). "Now it's time to be calm. We have a classic ahead with 50% of each team. It's not because we qualified first that it will be an easy game, quite the opposite. Classics are always very difficult", he concluded.
The Most Beloved returns to the field against Ceará next Wednesday (22), at 19:30 pm, at the Castelão stadium in the First League Cup.
