After winning against Ceará away from home, in the Brazilian Championship, the red-black squad returned to training this Tuesday morning (1) at Ninho do Urubu, aiming for the match against Ponte Preta, for the Copa do Brasil. Before embarking for Campinas, defender Réver discussed the duel against the São Paulo team, scheduled for next Wednesday.Friday (3), at 19:30 pm, at Moisés Lucarelli.

"We know the difficulty we will face playing away from home against a team that has been playing well. The knockout stage has a different flavor, requiring different precautions. It's two games, and if you have a bad game, you could pay the price. We will have the right attitude from the start and we are prepared to play a good game in pursuit of this qualification."

The captain also highlighted and praised the playing style that Barbieri conveys to the Flamengo squad.

"Barbieri wants us to always have possession of the ball. This helps our development, given the characteristics of the players we have. We did this well against Ceará. With the ball, you're unlikely to make mistakes and that will tire the opponent. He (Barbieri) made good substitutions, fortunate in his choices, and that's to his credit, as he studied the Ceará team. I hope we can continue this."

Finally, Réver spoke about Flamengo's good start in the 2018 Brazilian Championship.

"It's always good to win and lead a tough competition. That alone isn't enough; it only increases our responsibility and commitment. We want a good run to build a cushion, since we have other competitions that will enter the knockout stage. We're going all out in every competition we're participating in. Our goal is to fight for everything."
