This Monday (30), the red-black team's preparation began for the second and decisive classic against Fluminense, valid for the quarter-final phase of the Conmebol Sudamericana. At the end of the activities on the field, Rhodolfo was present at the Victorino Chermont Press Room, at Ninho do Urubu, to give a press conference, where he spoke about another important fact of this morning.

The activity marked Ederson's return to training at the training center. Three months ago, the Flamengo number 10 was diagnosed with a testicular tumor. Ederson underwent chemotherapy in early October and, after completing treatment, the athlete was able to resume training with his teammates. Rhodolfo celebrated the midfielder's return.

"We were very happy to see him at the club today. I had the opportunity to talk to him during the week, at his son's birthday party. He is very happy. We are trying to reassure him, talking to him a lot, because he is a spectacular guy, both on and off the field, and his presence here will help us a lot," he praised.

Even with the 1-0 victory in the first leg that decides who advances to the next phase of the international competition, the defender emphasizes the need to maintain the same intensity as in recent matches. In the return leg at the Maracanã, which will be Flamengo's home game, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) will have the advantage of a draw.

"We have to impose our rhythm of play as we have been doing. In these last matches against Vasco and Fluminense, it showed that our team has improved a lot," commented Rhodolfo. "Our team's determination on Wednesday has to be even greater than in the last game, because their team knows that we are 1-0 up from the first leg, so they will have to come out all guns blazing to try and get the result. Our team is focused, very eager to win, and we will try to put that into practice," he added.

The activity also marked Ederson's return to training at the training center. Three months ago, the Flamengo number 10 was diagnosed with a testicular tumor. Ederson underwent chemotherapy and, after completing treatment, the athlete was able to resume training with his teammates.

Regarding the possibility of Guerrero participating in the Fla-Flu derby, Rhodolfo highlighted the importance of the Flamengo number 9. However, the defender reaffirmed the team's confidence in Lucas Paquetá and Felipe Vizeu, who have been playing in attack during the striker's absence.

"He was transitioning today. He's a very important guy. For any team in Brazil, losing a player of that level is difficult. We depend on him a lot. He's a leader on the field, our top scorer. We miss him, but we have players of his caliber. Players from the youth academy who are coming up with great quality. They are younger, but the group has a lot of confidence in them. They did very well in training today and I'm sure they'll be up to the task on Wednesday," he analyzed.
