The talk at the George Helal Training Center today was all about Paolo Guerrero. The Peruvian's return to training was the main news, but the team didn't let Thursday's derby take a back seat—quite the opposite. The team trained hard, prepared plays, played quick passes, and maintained their momentum to face Fluminense in the Taça Rio semifinal on Thursday at Nilton Santos Stadium at 20 p.m.

After the training session, right-back Rodinei held a press conference in the Victorino Chermont press room, where he discussed his teammate's return, the derby, and the competition. Check out the highlights below, and the full press conference video. 

Guerrero 

He arrived, greeted everyone, and stayed for a chat. Now we just have to wait for him to play again and help us. I'm not hiding the fact that I'm a Guerrero fan. Given the struggles he's been through, we know what happened isn't easy. Having him here adds a lot to the atmosphere before the derby. 

Fla-Flu 

They have the advantage of a draw. We don't take revenge as an option, because each game has its own story. Our team does. They have the advantage, but we're going for the win. They're a dangerous opponent. We lost the other game, thanks to them. We're not going to go into the field talking about revenge. 

Campeonato Carioca 

The rules leave us a bit lost, but we know that if we win the Rio Cup, we'll have the advantage of a draw in the final. So we're going in to win and try to get a longer break in the Carioca.

Pressure and environment

We're a friendly environment. We're often together for birthdays and parties. It all helps. On the field, everyone knows their role and takes it seriously, but off the field, we have a great friendship. 

Review 

Everyone knows Réver's importance. But whether he'll return, I don't know. We'll have to wait until tomorrow, when we'll work out the final details, and then we'll know. 

Carpegiani's work 

We demand a lot from ourselves, the pressure is daily. It's never good enough. There's always the next match. We beat Emelec, we can't relax because Portuguesa is coming. Now, a derby. The team is on the rise, and we have to keep working. The football is very even, and we can't relax.
