Flamengo has completed its preparations for Saturday's (21) clash against América-MG at Maracanã. The match, valid for the second round of the Brazilian Championship, will also mark Julio Cesar's farewell to football. In a press conference, full-back Rodinei commented on the importance of playing a good game.

"Regardless of being fired, we have to give a response to the fans. The Maracanã will be packed, Julio is an idol to everyone. Let's see what the coach will pass on so we can come away with the three points," said Rodinei.

"We know the pressure of playing for Flamengo. Since I arrived, I've been asked to give my best, and that has to happen, since we're a big team. The fans will support us, and regardless of Julio's departure, we'll go all out in search of the three points."

In the final training session before the match against América-MG, the squad worked hard at Ninho do Urubu, and the activities on Field 5 were led by Maurício Barbieri. Rodinei also made a point of praising the work of the assistant coach of the permanent staff.

"Maurício is a great professional and speaks the players' language. He's an excellent coach despite his young age. I, at 26, am learning a lot from him. Let's see what he has to teach us and we'll certainly get back to winning ways," concluded the number 2.

The ball will roll at Maracanã starting at 19 p.m. The nation can secure tickets for Julio Cesar's farewell. clicking here
