Defender signs with Flamengo until 2023

Flamengo has signed defender Rodrigo Caio permanently from São Paulo. The 25-year-old signed a contract until December 2023 and is the first signing for next season.
Rodrigo Caio Coquette Russo was born in Dracena, São Paulo, and trained at São Paulo State. In addition to his time with the Brazilian national team's youth teams, he was also called up to the senior squad by coach Tite.
Wearing the Brazilian jersey, Rodrigo Caio was a starter on the team that won the gold medal for the first time at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
