The red-black squad completed a week of training under coach Jorge Jesus this Thursday (27). The coach's intensity and methodology are reasons for praise from the players. In a press conference this morning, defender Rodrigo Caio spoke about his impressions at the beginning of the preseason training.

"We're enjoying it; it's challenging. Different ideas, lots of aggressive marking. He really guides the defense. We're going to grow a lot. Attack wins games, and defense wins championships. That's what he says, and what I'd already heard from Osório at São Paulo. The big difference with Jesus is his intensity. The player is often driven by this pressure every minute," he analyzed.

Next Saturday (29), at 11 am, Flamengo will face Madureira in a training match, in Gávea. The defender hopes that the team will have a great performance in this first challenge after the arrival of Jorge Jesus. 

"You have to understand that it was just a week of work. Different ideas, many details that he's teaching us. We can't grasp everything yet. But it will be a competitive team, with the lines close together and the ball carrier under a lot of pressure," he says.
