Flamengo continues preparing for the second game of the Campeonato Carioca final and the decision against Vasco was a topic at Ninho do Urubu. Defender Rodrigo Caio gave a press conference on Wednesday morning (17) and warned that the idea is to win everything he competes for with the Manto Sagrado.
"I came to win. That was my big goal. I came to a gigantic club to pursue that. I came prepared to be a champion and return to playing at a level I hadn't had the chance to. Here, I found a united group, hungry for victories and titles."
The number 3 highlighted the performance of Rubro-Negro in the first game of the final, but asked for total attention even with the advantage for the match next Sunday (21).
"We played a great game, we deserved the result we got, but football is surprising and 11 against 11 on the field. We're facing a great team and we have to pay extra attention to repeat the performance, even improve, and play the game we want."
At the end of the chat with journalists, Rodrigo Caio made a point of talking about his relationship with his idol Juan.
"I was just having coffee and chatting, exchanging experiences with Juan. He's a guy I really admire, and I see that in him every day. I'd really like him to stay until the end of the year; he'd help us a lot."
