The surgery on defender Rodrigo, who fractured his right arm in yesterday's game against Volta Redonda, lasted four hours and was a success.

The athlete was operated on at the Pasteur Hospital, in Meier, by doctors José Luiz Runco and Marcelo Soares, from Flamengo, in addition to surgeons Marco Aurelio Souza and Claudio Pena.

A plate with four screws was inserted into the arm that suffered a comminuted fracture of the right radius, and there is no estimated time for the player to return to play. It will depend on the athlete's clinical progress.

Rodrigo will be discharged on Sunday and will receive a visit from President Marcio Braga today, when he returns from his trip to São Paulo.
