Roger sees Fla on the rise in the Brazilian Championship
By Flamengo Archive - inTwo consecutive home draws and a mediocre performance despite a 4-1 win over Figueirense on Wednesday have once again raised questions about Flamengo's potential in the Brazilian Championship. Midfielder Roger doesn't have a straightforward answer to this question, but he disagrees with the analyses that suggest the team's performance is declining.
"My opinion is that we've started a run and are still on the rise. In the last eight games, we've won five, drawn two, and lost only one. I can't see a drop in performance in this regard," said the player, who recalled the fact that the team has already been in a much more difficult situation in the championship.
"When Ibson, other players, and I arrived, we were at the bottom of the table. After the loss to Atlético-PR, we were ten points away from leaving the relegation zone. Today, we're out of it and still have two games in hand. The situation is still far from comfortable, but I'm sure we're on the right track to leave this danger zone and perhaps fight for something bigger."
