Porto Alegre (RS) - Flamengo coach Rogério Lourenço won't be leaving Porto Alegre very satisfied this Sunday (July 25.07). Not with the team's performance, but rather with the loss to Internacional. The Flamengo manager believes his team could have achieved a better result in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. According to him, Flamengo didn't deserve the defeat, even though they didn't play a great game.

For the coach, however, despite the negative result, the red-black fans can be sure that the team is evolving on its way to defending its Brazilian title.

"I believe the result wasn't fair and we deserved better luck. I recognize that Flamengo didn't play a great game, but in my opinion, we had good chances in the game and could have come away with a better result. Even so, there's no reason to despair," he said.

Rogério believes that the seven points earned in Flamengo's first four games in its return to the Brazilian Championship after the World Cup should be valued and is betting on hard work during the week to win the classic against Vasco next Sunday.

"In four games, we've managed two wins, one draw, and one loss in a game we knew would be tough here. The team is on the right track and proved it today. We just have to improve in the championship. Now we have a full week to work on, which is important, and we'll try to get everything right to beat Vasco on Sunday," he added.
