After landing in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday morning (10), Rogério Ceni headed to Ninho do Urubu and was officially introduced as Flamengo's new coach. The former Fortaleza manager, who arrives at Mais Querido to replace Catalan Domènec Torrent, will face the Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores. Alongside president Rodolfo Landim, CEO Reinaldo Belotti, vice-president of football Marcos Braz, and executive director of football Bruno Spindel, the new Flamengo coach spoke about his expectations for the new challenge in his career. Check it out:

With the word, Rodolfo Landim
"We're very happy to have this great figure, a true winner, who will now lead the Flamengo team. He's a highly qualified professional. We appreciate your trust and believe this will be a very good and successful partnership."

Marcos Braz
"We're very happy with Rogério's arrival, given his entire history in football. He plays decent football and is an excellent professional. The kind of greatness that Flamengo always strives for. We wish him the best of luck. We've been champions in the last two years; we had a wonderful 2019 and a wonderful 2020. We want to complete this work and win more titles in 2021."

First words of Rogério Ceni
"Thank you all. This is a very special day for me. I've been playing soccer for 30 years and have faced a packed Maracanã stadium. I saw Zico play, even called him and asked if I could join the club. He's a unique guy, whose free kicks I really admire."

Tactical scheme
"We'll work to find the formation the team feels most comfortable with. At Fortaleza, we played 4-3-3, then 4-2-4. The most important thing is that the players feel comfortable. We'll talk and train; we need to be offensive and enjoy possession."

Flamengo's invitation
"I'm very grateful to Fortaleza. The fans are sad, but I think they understand the magnitude of this challenge I've accepted. It's very difficult to turn down Flamengo because of its greatness, structure, and the players who are here."

Play style
"As offensive as possible. I spent a lot of time in goal, now I want to stay as far away as possible. Given the players' technical quality, Flamengo likes to keep possession and always looks for the goal. The important thing is the goal, for their own."

Competitions ahead
"Everyone wants to win everything in football. We have to see how much each person is willing to give to achieve their goal. They're a very successful group. Who said it's not possible (to win everything)? Especially with such a skilled group of players and such a passionate fan base as Flamengo's."

Stay at the Vulture's Nest
"It's the only way, otherwise we'll waste a lot of time. I'll stay as long as necessary to see all the areas of Ninho. I'd rather stay here. It's very beautiful, better than a hotel. I want to closely follow the youth team training sessions too."
