Monday was a day of intense work at Flamengo's training center, Ninho do Urubu. Coach Rogério Lourenço led a tactical session and also held his first training session as the first-team coach. A highlight was a new addition to the starting lineup: midfielder Romulo, who was registered for the second stage of the Libertadores and took Toró's spot. Furthermore, the training session was marked by plenty of conversation.

In the first hour of the activity, Rogério divided the group in two. On one side of the field, a mini-training session. On the other half, tactical training and positioning were held. Afterwards, the coach began his first training session as Flamengo's first-team coach. He started Bruno, Leonardo Moura, David, Angelim, and Juan; Rômulo, Maldonado, Willians, and Michael; Vagner Love and Adriano. The reserves trained with Marcelo Lomba, Fierro, Welinton, Fabrício, and Rodrigo Alvim; Toró, Fernando, Kleberson, and Petkovic; Vinícius Pacheco and Dênis Marques. The session ended in a 0-0 draw.

"It was a surprise, for sure. I didn't expect this opportunity, especially since I wasn't even in the squad, but Rogério has known me since the youth teams. He knows my potential, my football, and I'm happy he took a chance on me," said midfielder Rômulo.
