Flamengo defeated Ceará this Saturday (14.08) at Maracanã, with an attitude that pleased coach Rogério Lourenço. During the week, he had already promised that the team would enter the field with a winning spirit and what was seen on the field in the match was a team with a lot of desire to win the three points.

"I thought the team recaptured one important thing: attitude. I'd like to give credit to the players for their dedication and commitment. They went for the win against a qualified team that hasn't won in seven games and remains in the top four. The game was tough, but the important thing was getting the three points," he said.

The player recalled that Flamengo had players who had not been playing and even had to improvise Michael at left-back and, even so, Rubro-Negro managed to win.

"We had two players who hadn't played for a long time (Renato Abreu and Leandro Amaral), and we also had the problem with Juan. We had to improvise with Michael, as Rodrigo Alvim wasn't in the squad," he said.

At times during the game, the fans booed some players and the coach himself, who didn't mind. According to him, the pressure will always be high at Flamengo, and it's important to learn to live with this kind of situation at Rubro-Negro.

"Flamengo fans are strict. So it's natural to want results, a dream team, renowned players. The pressure is there every day, whether in training or in a game, away or at home. I won't change my stance. I try to support the players and protect them within their capabilities. Michael was booed at times, but the responsibility is mine. He couldn't even remember the last time he played there as a full-back. I know the fans are very large, and suddenly it's a small group that's always unhappy, but we let it go. But they can be sure: everyone is here to do their best," he added.
