Rogério understands the pressure for good results

Coach says he is relaxed about the work and is betting on the team's evolution with the arrival of reinforcements

Wearing the Flamengo jersey means knowing how to handle pressure. For both the players, the coaching staff, and the board, it's essential to have a calm mind to face difficult times. That's what coach Rogério Lourenço believes he must do. Despite being challenged by some fans, he says he's aware the work is being done well and is confident the team will improve with the arrival of reinforcements.

The coach uses examples very close to the club's reality. Rivals Botafogo and Vasco had difficult starts in the Brasileirão and are now battling for the top spots, as is Fluminense, which is currently leading the competition.

"At Flamengo, the pressure is always to be at the top, winning, and that's part of it. But we've seen teams that have struggled and recovered, like Botafogo and Vasco, we've seen big clubs like Atlético and Grêmio struggling, so we always have to work to achieve our best. We're used to the pressure, and whoever's here has to be prepared for it," he said.
The coach understands the fans' demands, but says he's used to playing for Flamengo. After all, he also played for Gávea.

"I'm calm about the work. The fans want results, that's normal. I know the demands of the fans, I know what Flamengo is like, but I'm aware that we're in a period of restructuring, with Diogo arriving, Deivid next week... We didn't have any strikers in the preseason. There were five in the first half of the year and in Itu we had Diego Maurício because he came from the youth team. It's a team still being put together," he added.
