Rogério absolves the red-black attackers of blame

Coach emphasizes that the entire team is responsible for the results, whether positive or negative

During halftime, coach Rogério Lourenço decided to change Flamengo's attacking duo for Sunday's match (August 22.08) at Arena da Baixada against Atlético Paranaense. The coach took off Leandro Amaral and Val Baiano to bring on Vinícius Pacheco and Cristian Borja. Despite this, he believes neither forward can be blamed for the team having scored only two goals in the last six games.

"These are players who are part of the group and cannot take on all the responsibility," said the coach, who believes that the entire team is responsible for the results, whether positive or negative.

"As I often say, the entire offensive and defensive system is responsible for the results, whether positive or negative. It's the Flamengo team that wins or loses, not one player or another," he analyzed.

The red-black commander highlighted the importance of the arrivals of Deivid and Diogo, who should be officially presented this Monday (23.08), in Gávea, but avoided euphoria.

"There's joy over the signings, but we have to think about the championship. These are players who will definitely help us, but we can't confuse joy with euphoria, as I've already said," he added.
