The changes to Flamengo's coaching staff are among the most talked-about topics in these first days of preparation for the Rubro-Negro. Coach Rogério Lourenço commented on the arrivals of Marcelo Buarque, Toninho Oliveira, Diogo Linhares, and Cantareli in a press conference held this Thursday morning (June 17.06) in Gávea. The coach believes that all of them are fully capable of being at a club like Rubro-Negro and will prove this over time.

"As a coach, I've been involved in the boardroom, not just in terms of the committee and football, which I think is right and wrong. I saw a need for change in some things, and it happened. There's no particular problem with anyone, and the professionals who are arriving must be valued. Not just anyone is arriving. They are all qualified and deserve to be here. They are professionals who already know the club and who, in my opinion, will do the best for Flamengo," he stated.

The coach believes the press gave the matter too much attention when there was no need for such a fuss. After all, changes in the club's staff are normal at any club. The club's manager made a point of praising the professionals who were at the club, but emphasized that this isn't the first, nor will it be the last, occasion.

"They're placing a lot of emphasis on this, as if it had never happened before in football. This is normal and happens at every club. It's not the first time, nor will it be the last. This issue has taken on a larger dimension than usual. First of all, the professionals who were here are of undeniable ability and achieved many victories. They deserve all the credit for what they did, but life goes on," said Rogério, who took the opportunity to refute rumors that the squad was unhappy with the changes.

"Any relationship generates friendship and affection. This is normal, and you feel the change. But the players are working well, they are happy, and there is no dissatisfaction. There is a connection with some professionals, that's normal. We understand that. The only thing that can't be lacking is respect and trust with teammates, the committee, the club, and the fans. The Flamengo institution cannot be harmed," he added.

Bruno - Rogério also commented on goalkeeper Bruno's situation. According to him, the number 1 is an exemplary professional and has not disrespected any of the members of the new coaching staff.

"Goalkeeper is a different position, because the goalkeeper coach works with three or four players and ends up staying close. Bruno is a spectacular person. He works hard, is one of the first to arrive, one of the last to leave, and he doesn't have that ability for nothing. He's young and has been working with Roberto for a long time. This is absolutely normal. Bruno showed no disrespect to any professional," I conclude.
