Rogério Maia is called up as the Brazilian National Team's assistant goalkeeper for the World Cup
The trainer will work alongside Taffarel at the World Cup. Nutritionist Mildre Souza helped develop the delegation's menu.

The great work that Rogério Maia has been doing at Flamengo has been rewarded. This Thursday (17), the Mais Querido's goalkeeping coach was called up to be part of the technical committee of the Brazilian National Team that will compete in the World Cup in Russia.
In the Brazilian National Team, Rogério Maia will be Cláudio Taffarel's assistant in preparing the goalkeepers called up by Tite to defend Brazil.
Wearing the yellow jersey is nothing new for the Flamengo coach. Rogério Maia was a World and South American U-20 champion in 2011, and a champion at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
At Flamengo, Rogério Maia works alongside José Jober with goalkeepers Diego Alves, César, Thiago, and Gabriel Batista. The number 1, in fact, is going through a great phase and hasn't conceded a goal in 599 minutes, demonstrating the effectiveness of his work.
During the period in which Rogério Maia is with the Brazilian National Team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, José Jober will be assisted by Nielsen Elias, goalkeeper coach of the Mais Querido under-20 team.
Also involved in the 2018 World Cup is nutritionist Mildre Souza, who helped develop the menus for the Brazilian delegation during the tournament. Souza is also responsible for all the national team's youth and senior women's and men's teams.
