Rogério remains calm

Coach says he is calm about his future and guarantees he is already used to speculation

Anyone who follows football or works in the industry knows: the periods leading up to transfer windows are rife with speculation, both about players and members of the coaching staff. Flamengo coach Rogério Lourenço is one of those whose future is constantly being speculated about in the press. But he remains calm and assures that he will continue his work without being influenced by any kind of rumor.

"Since I was appointed Flamengo's coach, I had the president's word, and later the board's, that I should be at peace with my work. Speculation happens. I know there was contact with Felipão, and at no point was I upset. The president called me and explained the situation and everything is fine," he said.

Having been in football for a long time, both as a player and as a coach, Rogério says he is accustomed to speculation and the pressure for good results.

"When Adilson left, they mentioned a lot of names at Cruzeiro. This kind of thing comes up sooner or later. I've been in football for a long time and I want to do my best for Flamengo here. I have the full support of the board and Zico, and when the games start, as was the case previously, there will be that natural pressure, like there was after the game against Goiás," he added.
