Rogério wants the team to have the same attitude at Pacaembu

Flamengo won convincingly and secured an advantage for the second leg of the Copa Santander Libertadores round of 16. Next Wednesday, the team from Gávea faces Corinthians at Pacaembu, needing only a draw to advance in the competition. However, even so, the players and coaching staff want no room for complacency.
According to coach Rogério Lourenço, the team needs to maintain the same attitude as in the first game at the Maracanã to leave Pacaembu with the qualification.
"Our team knows we have the advantage, but it's not a big one. We know we need to play well there. We can't go onto the field thinking only about a draw. We have to maintain the same attitude at Pacaembu," he stated.
The manager himself reveals that he already started thinking about the second leg in the locker room after the first leg.
"Even in the locker room we were already thinking about the second leg. It's a 180-minute match and only the first 90 minutes have been played. Now we need to stay focused on the remaining 90 to secure qualification," he said.
The Flamengo coach is relying on his team's experience to overcome any and all pressure that may arise in São Paulo.
"This is an experienced group. They have very high-quality players who have already won important titles, and we know that pressure is normal in football. We have to be prepared for that," he added.
