Flamengo continues its preparations for Sunday's match (08.08) against Corinthians at Pacaembu Stadium. The red-and-black team held another tactical training session on Thursday afternoon (05.08) at Gávea Stadium. After training with Fernando among the starters in the first two activities of the week, Rogério Lourenço decided to test a new formation this Thursday and introduced Welinton into the main team during an attack-versus-defense movement.

The coach divided a group into four, and on one half of the pitch, the starting midfield and attack did similar work to that of the morning: creating and finishing plays against the reserve defense. However, with one modification. Fernando left the starting lineup to bring in defender Welinton, transforming the red-and-black formation into a 3-5-2.

This Friday, the squad will train again at Gávea, at 15 p.m. Rogério Lourenço is expected to lead a training session and make his final observations before confirming the team that will take the field on Sunday. The team will have one more training session on Saturday morning before departing for São Paulo.
