With God on his side and the support of his teammates, the coaching staff, and the Flamengo fans, Rômulo has everything he needs to continue his success in the Flamengo starting lineup. The midfielder made his debut for Flamengo's first team against Corinthians last Wednesday, performed well, and hopes to repeat the feat not only in the second leg of the series at Pacaembu, but throughout the season.
In a poll conducted by Flamengo's official website, 86% of users approved of the player's return. These numbers made Rômulo very happy.
"Flamengo's fans are speechless. I'm very happy and I can tell everyone that I will always honor the colors of this club. I owe everything to Flamengo and I will do my best to help the club win more and more titles," he said.
The player also earned high praise from his teammates and coach Rogério Lourenço. The midfielder never lacked confidence from the group, and he thanked everyone at Gávea for their support.
"I think it was a good return for the team, and that's what makes me happiest. The whole team did well. David stood out, Leonardo Moura too, and everyone did well. Just as I was praised, I also have to praise the group, which proved its strength once again," he said.
Despite all the recognition, Rômulo remains grounded. The midfielder says he still has room for improvement and promises to dedicate himself fully to maintain his starting spot.
"Football is about the moment, and I'm aware of that. Results are the result of daily work. I'm happy, I celebrated my return, but the day after the game I turned my focus to next Wednesday's match. I have to keep this up. I haven't played in a while, and I think with a streak I can improve even more," he added.
