Flamengo beat Botafogo 2-1 at Maracanã on Sunday afternoon (23) and secured a place in the final of the Campeonato Carioca. Still at the stadium, midfielder Rômulo spoke to the press in the mixed zone and spoke about his return, in addition to analyzing the next two games of Mais Querido.
Rômulo took the opportunity to talk about the opponent in the final and the difficulty of the match: "Fluminense is a great team, and we already know that. We've played against them and we know their qualities. It's a good game to play, and we'll go in focused to perform well."
After spending a month recovering from a muscle injury at CEP Fla, Rômulo returned to the field and played until the second half, when he was substituted. "I hadn't played for a while, but I felt good. In the second half, I got tired and asked to come off, but Zé Ricardo asked us to do that, so we can go as far as we can. We played a great game and got a great result, now it's time to think about Wednesday," the player analyzed.
Regarding the away match against Atlético-PR, Rômulo stated that the Mais Querido will be looking for three points in Curitiba. "When it comes to Flamengo, we always play to win. The Conmebol Libertadores Bridgestone is a very difficult championship, but we will always strive for the best result," he concluded.
