Ronaldinho asks for donations for victims of the rain in Rio

The red-and-black star wants to see the Café Stadium packed and with lots of donations this Sunday

A great player must have aspirations that go beyond simply achieving results on the field. And that's how Ronaldinho, two-time world player of the year and recently signed by Flamengo, thinks. With a strong social conscience, the Flamengo supporter is asking fans to get involved in the campaign to help the victims of the rain that caused severe damage to the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro.

The club and the city of Londrina have partnered up, and there will be donation points for food, cleaning products, and clothing at the Estádio do Café this Sunday (January 16.01th) for the match between Flamengo and América Mineiro. Therefore, the player took advantage of his first press conference in the city to call on the fans.

"I would like the stadium to be packed tomorrow at the game, and for people to come and help those who suffered from the tragedy in Rio. That would be wonderful. The most beautiful goal would be this: that everyone helped with donations," he asked.

Furthermore, Ronaldinho also launched an individual fundraising campaign for the victims. In partnership with the website Oferta X, he promoted a contest: every donation of at least R$5 will earn a photo, with the artwork alongside, autographed by the star. The money will be donated to Viva Rio.
