Flamengo's defensive security continues to stand out on the national stage. Agustín Rossi was elected the best goalkeeper of the Brazilian Championship in October, in an award given by the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation). This is the fourth time this season that the Argentinian has won the trophy. Previously, he had already been recognized in the months of May, July and September.
The number 1 goalkeeper was one of Flamengo's key players throughout the month, maintaining a high level of performance and consistency between the posts. Considering only the 2025 Brazilian Championship, Rossi is the goalkeeper who conceded the fewest goals per game, averaging 0,55 per match, reinforcing the team's defensive solidity.
After receiving the trophy, the number 1 jersey player thanked everyone for the award and praised the team's collective effort.
"Very happy to have received this recognition once again, [...], but I must also congratulate our daily work with Thiago, Fabinho, Matheus, Diogo, and Léo. This is the fruit of our effort, which has been generating great results. May we continue in this way, because there is still a long way to go," he celebrated.
At the club since 2023, Rossi has played 138 matches wearing the Sacred Mantle and has collected titles such as the Copa do Brasil (2024), the Supercopa Rei (2025) and the Campeonato Carioca of 2024 and 2025.
With yet another individual award, the goalkeeper reaffirms his leading role this season and the defensive solidity that has characterized Flamengo throughout the year.
