"We fought. It was a difficult game, we suffered on the difficult pitch. We have to turn it around. We lost by the narrowest of margins, but we'll play at home, in front of our fans, and we'll go after that result. What we suffered here, they'll suffer there. I know we can turn it around," said Juan.
Willian Arão also spoke after leaving the field. "This scoreline is very reversible. We showed we can play. Being away from home, they pushed us back. We had some counterattacks and ended up not taking advantage. I hope the fans support us a lot and push us against them at Maracanã," Arão analyzed.
Concluding his remarks, midfielder Cuéllar also expressed optimism for the return leg. "We had the game in hand, but next week will be another great game. We hope to turn the result around," he stated.
Flamengo hosts Independiente next Wednesday (13), at 21:45 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. Tickets are already sold out.
