Flamengo fans consider the draw against Corinthians a fair result.
Players believe the result ended up being positive for the team in the Brazilian Championship.
By From the official website team - inThe draw against Corinthians, on Wednesday night (October 27.10th), was Flamengo's second consecutive draw – and the third in five games for the red-and-black team under coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo. Of course, playing at home, the team from Gávea really wanted to win, but the players believe the result ended up being fair considering what both teams showed on the field.
\Forward Val Baiano, who came on in the second half to try and help Flamengo put the ball in the net, considered the point gained from the draw valuable for the team's progress in the competition.
\"Considering the opponent we faced, it's a good result. We know we could have won. But we have to respect the team that's fighting for the title (Corinthians)," he emphasized.
\Midfielder Renato doesn't deny that the draw ended up being a bit disappointing, but believes the result can be viewed from a positive perspective: adding another point in the fight for a spot in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana.
\"We were counting on the victory, we wanted the three points, but unfortunately we didn't get it. Despite that, it wasn't such a bad result," he added.
