Rubro-Negros are not satisfied with the 2-2
Players believe Flamengo could return from Ceará with the victory in their luggage
By From the official website team - inFlamengo's 16th draw in the 2010 Brazilian Championship was a bittersweet one for the club's players. The team from Gávea twice led, but ultimately conceded the equalizer both times, leaving Castelão feeling as though they had dropped two points to Ceará.
Defender Ronaldo Angelim, who scored the second goal for Flamengo, believes that Ceará played a good game, but believes that Flamengo deserved better luck in this match.
"We created more chances when the score was 2-1, to kill the game. If we had scored a third, it would have ended Ceará. But the team played well, we pressed, created chances, had a good second half, and almost came away with the win," he said.
Midfielder Correa, who had a good chance to score at the end of the second half, explained what happened in the play and said he lacked the strength to finish.
"When I got to the ball, I ran out of strength when I turned. Renato shouted, passing it, and I tried to touch it, but I missed. I lost control. I wanted to pass it to a better-positioned teammate, because I didn't have the strength to touch it. I was unlucky," he added.
Now, the red-black team faces Atlético-PR, Sunday (07.11), in Volta Redonda.
