That is the objective of all Flamengo players – not just the forwards – in Saturday's (November 13.11th) match against Atlético Mineiro at Arena do Jacaré. The experienced midfielder Maldonado believes that the Flamengo team is prepared to seek a positive result, even away from home, in this very important game.
Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has not yet defined the starting lineup for the match, but the Chilean has expressed confidence in a good performance against the Minas Gerais team.
"Regardless of who plays, the important thing is that the ball gets to the players and that goals are scored. We can't just talk about the attack. Whoever plays up front, we all have to create chances to score," he said.
The midfielder further explained that the team is evolving and should show increasingly better football until the end of the championship. Especially if they manage to blend youth and experience well.
"Negueba has quality and still has a lot to learn. All the more experienced players like to pass that on to the younger ones, it's a natural thing and the club is the one that benefits from it for the future," he added.
