At the Brasileirão Craque Award ceremony at Vivo Rio in downtown Rio de Janeiro, everyone was talking about Flamengo's sixth championship title last Sunday. Former star player Zagallo, president Marcio Braga, players Leonardo Moura, David, and Petkovic, as well as sports minister Orlando Silva, heaped praise on the Flamengo's campaign and spoke about the momentous achievement that ended a 17-year wait.

David - It's hard to sleep. When I lie down, I remember the goal, I remember the moment the referee blew the final whistle... But I'm very happy with this title. It was very difficult, but thank God we managed to achieve this goal.

Zagallo - When Flamengo lost the first title, it reminded me a lot of Brazil and Uruguay in 1950, but thank God, things went well, Flamengo fought back, and most importantly, won the sixth title. The team fought back and couldn't lose with that crowd chanting "Mengo, Mengo, Mengo!" And, for me, Flamengo won the sixth title thanks to the introduction of Pet, who was the star of the tournament.

Marcio Braga - Whenever Flamengo wins, I'm there. I've never been at the club without winning a championship. That's a record. Over the past 32 years, I've been elected president of the board of directors six times and president of the deliberative body twice. I believe I've accomplished my mission by leaving Flamengo back at the top, hegemonic in Brazil and Rio. Now we have to make room for other leaders to come and follow Flamengo's path to eternal glory.

Andrade - It was a busy day, but I think it was worth it. I think the partying will be intense these two days, but then things will calm down and return to normal. I'm enjoying it.

Petkovic - It was a wonderful night. I'm six times happier. It was a good year for me, truly wonderful. I never imagined this would happen in 2009. It was the best year of my career; I received several honors, became a Rio citizen, won six titles with Flamengo... What more could I want? I think I'll continue next year. For my part, I'm 100% determined. There are just a few details left.

Orlando Silva - Flamengo was the most consistent team, experiencing inconsistent moments but recovering at the right time. Considering the club, its history, and its fans, Flamengo more than deserved this title.

Leo Moura - This title was incredibly important, and our team deserved it for what they did throughout the championship. Today we came here to celebrate once again. Yesterday was a beautiful night, celebrating with family, and today we came to collect the trophy because we deserve it. Tonight is a gala night!
