"Today I lost the match. I don't know the strategy. We sought a positive result from the beginning and the game was under control. Grêmio had great ball possession and an offensive vocation. Until the 1-0 lead, everything was working. After the equalizer, not because of the strategy or the lineup, but because of how it's assimilated. 1-1 isn't the end of the world. It's a score to work with and try to get back into the game," analyzed the coach.

"We showed a lot of order, aggressiveness, and determination when the score was 1-0; we controlled the match well. With the draw, we should have continued playing that way and looking for the result. 1-1 wasn't good for us, but it was better than losing. Especially losing control, as we did," Rueda concluded.

Flamengo's next challenge will be against Cruzeiro on Wednesday (8), at 21:45 pm, at Ilha do Urubu.
