Flamengo comes into this match on a strong run: they've won their last five matches—three in the Brasileirão, one in the Copa do Brasil, and one in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana. They haven't lost a state derby in over a year, with six wins and eight draws. In Rio de Janeiro, the Rubro-Negro hasn't been defeated since February 2016, recording 13 wins and nine draws in their last 22 matches.
