On Monday morning (14), Flamengo held a press conference in Gávea to clarify and present the operational plan for the game against Emelec. Present at the table were CEO Fred Luz, Bruno Spindel, Marketing Director, Severiano Braga, representing the operational part of the club, Joaquim Dinis, from CET/DOP, Lieutenant Colonel of the PM, Silvio Luiz, Carlos Cristo, from the Municipal Guard, Marcos Kac, representing the State Public Ministry, and Marcelo Viana, director of competitions at Ferj.

 

"The sooner fans can pick up their tickets, the better for the club. We're counting on the Nação Rubro-Negra (Red-Black Nation), who have been putting on a show at the stadium and I'm sure they will again. We ask that no one cause any disruption on match day. Any further disruption caused by Flamengo or its fans could lead to very severe penalties from CONMEBOL," stated CEO Fred Luz at the opening of the meeting.

 

Presenting the entire strategic plan for Wednesday's match, the representatives of the authorities present spoke about the importance of collaboration between all agencies, as well as the crucial support of fans. The nation was also asked to pay attention to the roadblocks indicated by CET-RIO and to prioritize public transportation.

 

GM will double its standard staff to meet the demand for this Wednesday's match. With 443 professionals on call, the security guard will be on duty from 16 p.m. until the last fan leaves the stadium. The idea is to carry out preventative work before the match to avoid any potential disruptions.

 

The main recommendation is that everyone arrive early at Maracanã to avoid any problems with access. It is worth remembering that Off-Rio Members can make the exchange on the day of departure or at points available in places such as Macaé, Cabo Frio, Nova Friburgo and Juiz de Fora.

 

Another important point is that, according to state law, all free tickets must be picked up 24 hours before the game. The official pickup locations are Maracanã and Gávea.

 

Blockades around several streets around Maracanã will begin at 18 p.m. Strict control will be in place to ensure only ticket holders can pass through these points. Additional security and public guides will be provided. Gates will open at 19 p.m. Again, it's crucial that all fans arrive as early as possible.

Supervia and the subway will have a special schedule for the day of the match. In addition to streets like Eurico Rabelo and Maracanã Avenue, traditional roadblocks will also be in place on Radial Oeste toward the city center and Rua Radialista Waldir de Amaral after 23 p.m.

Please note that taxis, vans, and vehicles without official registration will not pass through the roadblocks.
