After defeating leaders Grêmio 2-1 and moving into sixth place in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo's squad returned to training this Friday afternoon at Gávea Stadium. The coaching staff is beginning to prepare the team for Sunday's challenging match against Internacional in Porto Alegre.

While the starters were doing muscle recovery work at the club's gym, the rest of the squad took to the field to participate in a technical activity, including passing and movement. New additions to the activity included Rubens Sambueza, Fernando, and Fernandão, new additions to the Brasileirão. The Argentine showed class in several plays and scored a stunning backheel goal, drawing applause from his teammates.

Sambueza is in Caio Júnior's squad to make his debut on Sunday against Internacional. Gávea's new number 10 expects a hard-fought match against the Colorado team.

"I'm very happy to be available to Caio Júnior. I hope to gel as quickly as possible to help my teammates. I'm prepared for this difficult match against Internacional. We played well yesterday, and I hope the team repeats its great performance on Sunday."

Vice President of Football Kleber Leite confirmed that midfielder Everton will arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. He is expected in Gávea on Monday. Forward Josiel will arrive in the city by Wednesday.
