After Mengão's 2-0 victory over Grêmio, last Wednesday (26), in Porto Alegre, coach Jorge Sampaoli commented on the red-black team's good performance in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil semifinals. Check out some topics from the Argentine's post-match press conference below.

Flamengo's performance
"The difference in football was greater than the two goals. I think the team played like a Copa do Brasil semifinalist and outperformed Grêmio. The result isn't as important as the way we played."

Best match under your command?
"I believe so. It was a game in which the team didn't rush and managed to exchange many passes in the opponent's half. They dominated the match and knew how to defend with the ball. From now on, we have to find a way to always play this way. Filipe Luís gave us the opportunity to have a better ball release."

Cup team
"These players know how to play this kind of game. They come in more focused, and the excitement is greater. Not because of me, but because they have this ability. This year didn't start well, but I hope we have a chance to win a title this year."

Now, Mengão shifts its focus to the Brasileirão. The red-black team faces Atlético-MG next Saturday (29), at 21 pm, at Independência.
