Samuel Lino was one of Flamengo's standout players during May, and the fans recognized his excellent performance. He was voted Betano's Player of the Month in a popular vote. The striker participated in eight matches during that period, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

The athlete ended the month on a high note by directly participating in all three goals of the 3-0 victory over Coritiba, in the last match before the break for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, for the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship. This season, Lino has played 32 matches, scoring six goals and providing nine assists for Flamengo.

Having come up through the club's youth ranks and won the Copinha in 2018, he returned to Flamengo in July 2025 after a standout spell at Atlético de Madrid.

It was an important month, with the Libertadores qualification in first place overall, and also because we finished this first semester with an important victory over Coritiba. This award is not just for me, it's for the group. We are all players of the month, every month,” said the star player.

Pedro won the fan vote for Goal of the Month. The chosen play occurred in the 1-0 victory over Estudiantes, in the 5th round of the CONMEBOL Libertadores group stage. In the 20th minute of the second half, the number 9 scored the goal that secured the three points for Flamengo and played an important role in the campaign that guaranteed the club first place overall in the continental competition.

Beyond its importance to Flamengo's campaign, the goal made Pedro the first player to score at least two goals in seven consecutive editions of the Libertadores Cup. The striker is having another season of prominence with the club. In May, he played eight matches, scored four goals and provided two assists. In total, he has already scored 171 goals in 337 games for the club, a mark that places him as Flamengo's top scorer in the 21st century and the sixth highest scorer in the club's history.
