Another day of presentations at Flamengo. On Friday afternoon (1), striker Samuel Lino was officially presented to the Rubro-Negra Nation and gave a press conference at CT George Helal. Mengão's new reinforcement already made his debut with the Manto Sagrado last Thursday (31) and left a good impression. He came on in the second half of the game against Atlético-MG and showed his calling card to the fans. Check out some excerpts from the press conference:

Flamengo's proposal

"Since I returned to São Bernardo after my time at Flamengo, I've been following the first team constantly. It's true that I had some very interesting offers from Europe, good financial offers from Saudi Arabia. But when Flamengo came along with a good offer, I also thought: it's a huge club, where I've played before and which is always competing for titles, in the top spots, with many players on the Brazilian national team. When you're at a huge club and also close to my family, speaking my language, eating Brazilian food—all of this has been very important to me being here at Flamengo today."

"Here at the youth academy, I had the opportunity, but not the freedom to truly show who I am. I played center forward for a few games, but it was a good learning experience. Sometimes things happen so you can learn and mature. Arriving here at that time made me grow and change my mindset for what came later in my career. I never imagined that I would leave back then and return as the biggest signing. I think it's destiny, God, and path... Today I'm here and I hope to demonstrate everything I know that I didn't demonstrate back then."

"Being the biggest signing in Flamengo's history is incredible, a source of great pride. Our team has a lot of talent, high-quality players, but names and numbers don't matter on the field. If you don't run and give your all, giving your all, here in Brazilian football you won't win. We saw it against Atlético, which was a very difficult game, with a lot of fighting and fighting. Filipe Luís's playing style

"Filipe showed me his playing style and showed me that, within that model, I was already doing some things at Atlético de Madrid, which is playing wide, demanding the ball from the back, and providing depth to the team. I'm more relaxed now because I can quickly adapt to his style of play. I'll try to put it into practice in games."
