There's a new goalkeeper in the area! Flamengo announced this Sunday (3) the signing of goalkeeper Santos, who played for Athletico-PR. The 32-year-old goalkeeper signed a contract with Mais Querido until December 2025. He arrives to compete for the position with Hugo Souza and Diego Alves.

Discovered by Porto-PE, from Caruaru, Santos made his professional debut for Athletico, in 2011, against Mais Querido, in a match valid for the Copa Sudamericana. With the Paraná team, the goalkeeper gained national prominence and was voted the best in his position in the 2019 Brazilian Championship. He was also a two-time champion of the Copa Sudamericana (2018 and 2021) with Furacão.

Representing the Brazilian National Team, the goalkeeper was the starting goalkeeper for the team that won the gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
