No sooner had the referee blown the final whistle for the match against Vitória this Saturday (May 15.05) at Barradão than Flamengo's attention was already focused on Chile. It is there that, next Thursday, the team will decide its fate in the Libertadores. The team from Gávea faces "La U" for the fourth time in the competition and is banking on the individual talent of its players to secure its first victory and a spot in the semifinals.

Coach Rogério Lourenço believes there's no reason to keep secrets. After all, the two teams know each other very well. Therefore, he's made no secret of the fact that the team should field Bruno, Leo Moura, David, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Toró, Willians, Kleberson, and Michael; Vagner Love and Adriano.

"Football has no secrets. No one can hide anything these days. Every game is on television, we know the players, and a football match has individual duels. So, just as they know our team, we know theirs. They won the individual duels, but we know that if we win most of these 10 duels in the match, the probability of winning the game is high," he said.

The coach also believes that the team is doing what it needs to do to secure a spot in the next round: creating scoring chances.

"The plays are being created. If you create, the play is being well worked. We have to remain calm and, in addition to being up to date in the technical, tactical, psychological and physical aspects, we have to surpass ourselves. The story is not over yet," he concluded.
