No surprises, Fla plays tactically at Ninho do Urubu
Luxemburgo maintains Welinton and David in defense. Diego Maurício will partner Deivid in attack.
By From the official website team - inFlamengo is unlikely to have any surprises in Sunday's match against Vasco at Engenhão Stadium. Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo led a tactical training session this Thursday at Ninho do Urubu and named his starting lineup without any surprises compared to what he had fielded in recent games. Before kickoff, the coach spoke extensively with the players, who sat down and listened attentively to the manager's words.
David and Leo Moura, who served suspensions against Internacional, return to the team, as does Willians. Up front, Deivid, who scored twice in the victory over Colorado, remains a starter, as does young Diego Maurício. Diogo, recovered from injury, trained with the reserves. Petkovic, Val Baiano, Uendel, and Correa did separate training in the gym. Midfielder Renato Augusto, formerly of Flamengo and now a Bayer Leverkusen player, continues to be treated for an injury at the Flamengo training center.
Thus, the starting lineup consisted of Marcelo Lomba, Leonardo Moura, Welinton, David, and Juan; Maldonado, Willians, Kleberson, and Renato; Diego Maurício and Deivid. The reserves trained with Vinícius, Galhardo, Jean, Ronaldo Angelim, and Rodrigo Alvim; Toró, Fernando, Fierro, and Marquinhos; Diogo and Cristian Borja.
As usual, Vanderlei took a break from training, paying special attention to marking the starting team. He emphasized the importance of not giving the opponent space and capitalizing on the ball's openings for attack. Luxa also practiced aerial plays, both offensively and defensively.
