After all, despite their good individual performances being pleasing, Flamengo's situation in the Brazilian Championship isn't what the players expected. Therefore, neither Petkovic nor the "five-time champion" (Kleberson) are interested in praise, but rather in working to improve the team in the coming rounds.
\Pet, who scored Flamengo's goals in the draw against Grêmio and in the defeat against Palmeiras, would trade those goals for victories in both matches. For the Serbian midfielder, playing well and scoring goals means nothing if the team leaves the field without the three points.
\"Individual form doesn't matter if the team isn't doing well. I scored two goals in the last few games, but the team didn't win, and that's what matters most to me: that the team does well, wins matches, and climbs the table," he said.
Kleberson agrees. The player, who is Flamengo's top scorer in the "Silas Era" with three goals, knows he can do even more for the team and believes the team has everything it needs to play good football in the coming rounds.
"I know I can help Flamengo and I believe I've even been having good performances, but I'm not satisfied. What's important to me is that the team is doing well, and that hasn't been happening. We're in a position we don't want to be in, and we have to get out of it," he concluded.
