Flamengo faces Internacional, next Wednesday night (29), in Cariacica-ES, at 19:30 pm, for another direct confrontation for the championship. The teams are, respectively, in sixth (17 points) and second (20 points) places, but separated by only three points. Mais Querido needs the victory at the Kléber Andrade stadium to stay close to or within the classification zone for the Libertadores.

Flamengo and Internacional have faced each other 26 times in Rio de Janeiro in the Brazilian Championship, only once outside of Rio. Flamengo has the advantage at home, winning 14 games, compared to Inter's seven wins and five draws. Of these 26 games, 20 were at Maracanã, two at Engenhão, one in Volta Redonda, one in Macaé, one at Luso-Brasileiro, and one in Juiz de Fora. In the latter, the only match outside the Rio de Janeiro-RS axis in the history of the Brasileirão, on November 18, 2001, Internacional won 1-0, with a goal from then-18-year-old Felipe Melo, who scored as a professional for the first time. Preparation
After the Fla-Flu match on Sunday, on Monday (27) the team trained in the afternoon at the George Helal Training Center. On Tuesday (28) the team trains once again, in the morning, in Rio de Janeiro, and continues traveling to Cariacica, in Espírito Santo, where they face Internacional.
