More than 45 fans were present at Maracanã on Tuesday afternoon (17)

April 18, 2018. Mark this date, because it went down in Flamengo's history. Aiming for the match against Independiente Santa Fé-COL, for the Conmebol Libertadores, the training session this Tuesday (17) that took place at Maracanã was open to the public.
With over 45 fans in attendance to support the Flamengo team on the eve of the match, Maurício Barbieri made the final adjustments for the third round of the group stage of the international competition.
While the fans continued celebrating in the stands, the team practiced quick passing drills and also honed their shooting accuracy with a finishing drill.
After the training session, the players made a point of thanking the Flamengo fans present, and midfielder Diego spoke about the importance of this contact before Wednesday's match, which will be played at the Maracanã stadium behind closed doors.
"This is yet another demonstration that this fanbase is more than special. Without a doubt, we're going all out to stay focused on this Libertadores game. The fans did their part, and we're going to do ours too," said the number 10.
"For me, it was a unique feeling. I had never experienced anything like it in a training session. Flamengo's fans are the biggest in Brazil, something out of this world. Their support was fundamental in allowing us to show a lot of fighting spirit and come away with a positive result."
The ball will start rolling on the match stage at 21:45 PM.
