The Flamengo team continues its preparation for next Sunday's (September 05.09th) match against Santos at the Maracanã. Friday (September 03.09rd) began with a 20-minute conversation between the players and the coaching staff. Then, physical trainer Emerson Buck led a circuit of physical activities, including speed bursts. Only after that did the ball start rolling at Gávea. Coach Silas led a technical drill with the squad divided into four teams, who practiced two-touch drills on a reduced-size field.

The red team played with Jean, Galhardo, Maldonado, Diego Maurício, Saba, Camacho, Renato, and Deivid. The white team had Leandro Amaral, Lenon, Rodrigo Alvim, Michael, Antônio, Borja, Everton Silva, and Rômulo. The green team was formed with Juan, Kleberson, Leo Medeiros, Ronaldo Angelim, Fernando, Fierro, Willians, and Diogo, and the orange team with Correa, Toró, Petkovic, Vinícius Pacheco, Val Baiano, David, and Leonardo Moura.

The four teams played in a round-robin system. Meanwhile, the goalkeepers trained separately with Cantareli. Afterwards, the players participated in a mini-tactical match on a reduced field, but some of the starters from the game against Cruzeiro did not participate in the activity, and Silas gave no indication of the team he will field against Santos.
